Property tax levy set
The Adams County Board of Supervisors approved the final property tax rates for the 2012-13 tax year on Friday.
The board held a special meeting to approve the tax rates because their next regular meeting on Tuesday was after the Oct. 16 deadline to approve the rates. All members present voted in favor of the rates, except for Lee Saathoff, who was absent.
The total county levy rate for 2012 is 33 cents per $100 valuation, up from 32 cents in 2011.
The composite levy rate for the city is currently listed at $2.35 per $100 valuation.
