Curtis credits supervisors, devise for second chance

This Automated External Defibrillator at the Adams County
Courthouse was used to save supervisor Dale Curtis' life.
For years it sat in its glass case, untouched.
Tuesday, it saved Dale Curtis’ life.
The automated external defibrillator kept on the first floor of the Adams County Courthouse was used to deliver the single shock that restarted the 65-year-old county supervisor’s heart.
Today, back at his Hastings home, Curtis is thankful to that machine and to his colleagues who had the forethought to use it.
