Weather cooperates for fall downtown event

Using spray paint, a putty knife and other household items, Michael Sadd of Hastings created art on demand during the Cottonwood Market Days this weekend.

He used a putty knife to outline buildings in the paint to resemble Hogwarts of Harry Potter fame. Dabs from a brush created the tree line and flicks of paint from an old toothbrush put stars in the night sky.

Sadd started creating spray paint art three weeks ago. A friend Sam Johnson paid for his space and encouraged Sadd to bring his artwork to the event.

Warm weather greeted guests for much of the two-day event.
