Hastings couple offers scary fun

Megan Lockling adds carved pumpkins to the Halloween
decorations outside her parents' home while preparing for
trick-or-treaters Friday morning.

Halloween may be only one day a year but that hasn't stopped Steve and Nancy Breault from taking their decorating to an extreme for the last 39 years.

The couple first started decorating their home and yard at 730 Valley Chase Ave. the year they moved in with the help of their three daughters.

The daughters may have grown up and two of them have moved out of town, but the couple still continues to get in the Halloween spirit every year.

But don't look for yard decorations at this house to be put up too soon. In fact, the couple only puts the decorations up for Oct. 31 and they are taken back down within two days.

"It saves on the stuff, because it doesn't get blown down," Nancy said.
