Scoring runs lift Minden over Holdrege

Minden's Jenna Denney returns a Holdrege serve
in the second set Tuesday night in Minden.
MINDEN — Minden volleyball head coach Ed Rowse said that it only takes a matter of time before his high-powered offensive attack can take over games.

In all three of the Class C-1 No. 3 Whippets’ games in a 25-11, 25-13, 25-16 sweep of Holdrege (8-4) on Tuesday, the Dusters kept things close early before a long scoring run by Minden (16-1) would put matters to rest.

“It was a well-rounded effort from everybody tonight,” Rowse said. “From defense to offense to our serve game, even when we were out of system, we kept balls alive tonight that frustrated (Holdrege).”
