COLUMBUS — Minden’s Ashton Boldt shot a 93 to put her in a tie for 11th after day one at the Class C girls golf state meet at Quail Run Golf Course.
Doniphan-Trumbull’s Brandi Lemek is trying to make a name for herself in the Lemek family, entering today in 15th place after her score of 94 on day one. Her older sister, Danielle, won her fourth straight state title last year and is now a member of the Bradley University women’s golf team.
Minden’s Page Kristensen is also in a good spot for a possible individual medal, entering the second day in a tie for 16th with her score of 96 from yesterday. Both Boldt’s and Kristensen’s good days helped the Whippets finish with a 399, good enough for fifth place as a team entering day two.
Doniphan-Trumbull shot a 442, which puts the Cardinals in a tie for 12th as a team.
