Adams Central senior Jordan Nash has already competed at state tennis once in his career.
But this time will be a completely different experience.
This season, Nash has made an almost seamless transition to No. 1 singles after competing in No. 1 doubles with former Patriot Matthew Spartz at last year’s Class B state meet. With a 29-2 record, Nash will be seeded second overall when action starts Thursday morning at the Nebraska Tennis Center in Lincoln.
“It would mean a lot,” said Nash of trying to win. “I have three or four matches that I need to go through before I can even make it to the championship. I’ve got to focus on those first. But if I can make it just to the final day I’d be happy with that.”
