Patriot girls, Minden teams advance to state
FAIRBURY — Minden had a strong showing at the Class C, District 2 cross country meet in Fairbury Thursday, as Chris Shelton (17 minutes, 14 seconds) won the boys individual title, while both Whippets teams qualified for state.
The girls team captured the team title with 33 points, while the boys were second with 34 points.
The Adams Central girls finished with 43 points to finish third and also qualify for the state meet.
Minden’s Trevor Jacobsen (17:35.37) medaled by finishing fourth on the boys side, while Leobardo Iniguez (18:45.90) was 12th.
