KEARNEY — A year ago, Hastings High senior Trevor Rosno wasn't sure he'd be able to run again.
On Friday, he finished fifth in the Class B state cross country meet at the Kearney Country Club — capping off years of hard work and battling the odds.
"I feel like my work has finally shown results," said Rosno, who posted a time of 16 minutes, 44.6 seconds. "It's finally happened. I finally made it to state and I ran my best. I'll take that as a win."
