Tribland teams qualify for playoffs

The leaves changing colors and temperatures dropping is nature’s way of reminding football fans that it’s finally time for playoff football. The state playoff kick off Thursday with Class C-1, C-2, D-1 and D-2 in action, while the Class A and B and six-man tournaments start Friday.

Tribland is well represented in the playoffs with seven teams in the top four seeds of their respected classes. Giltner (8-0) and Sutton (8-0) are seeded first in their half of the bracket in Class D-2 and C-2, respectively — the playoff brackets for Class C-1, C-2, D-1 and D-2 as well as six-man are divided into east and west brackets. Adams Central (8-0) is the second seed in the West Bracket in Class C-1. Kenesaw (7-1) is the third seed on its half of the bracket in Class D-2, while Blue Hill (7-1) and Bruning-Davenport/Shickley (7-1) claimed No. 4 seeds in Class C-2 and D-1, respectively.

In six-man football, Silver Lake received the No. 1 seed in the East Bracket.
