Leadership key for AC girls

Leadership by experienced runners has been vital for the Adams Central girls cross country team this season.

The Patriots had a balanced roster of three state qualifying runners and three runners who were in their first season.

The team placed third at last week’s Class C, District 1 meet to qualify for state as a unit for the seventh consecutive season, and credit belongs to the unselfishness of seniors Brielle DeBusk, Abby Shipman and sophomore Courtney Anderson, who welcomed the younger runners and taught them what they could about the sport.
