BLUE HILL — Tuesday night served as the last time the Blue Hill volleyball team could play a live opponent before it prepares for what should be a solid subdistrict tournament.
The Bobcats picked up a pair of wins over Axtell 25-17, 25-12 and Kenesaw 25-12, 25-13. Kenesaw dropped its match to Axtell 18-25, 16-25.
For Blue Hill head coach Kristi Allen, it wasn’t a bad night of work for the team.
“I thought we played fundamentally sound. We did the little things right,” she said. “We played up to our level. We didn’t play the best that we’re capable of playing, but we did pretty good.”
The Bobcats (21-7) have some time off before they begin play Monday in the Class C-2, Subdistrict 9 tournament in Minden, which features top-ranked St. Cecilia (26-3), Franklin (1-24), Southern Valley (15-13) and Superior (13-12).
