In the blink of an eye, the Class C-1 No. 7 Adams Central football team took complete control of its game Thursday evening and beat the St. Paul Wildcats 49-7 on parents night at Patriot Field.
Adams Central (7-1) cruised to victory behind a stiff defense and a potent offense, as many players saw action in the regular season finale for both teams. The Patriots only allowed 138 total yards.
"Our thing was we wanted to get off to a good start and play good ball," Adams Central coach Bill Carlin said. "Under the circumstances, I'm glad they came. It's a tough deal for their school."
