Tigers split two games at home

Hastings High's Kathleen Bartunek digs a serve in the first
set against Norfolk at the Tiger Triangular Thursday night in
Hastings.

The Hastings High volleyball team's home triangular on Thursday featured two other schools on opposite ends of the pendulum for competition.

The Tigers (14-7) battled with Class A Norfolk (10-19) before taking on a winless Class B Lexington squad (0-24).
It appeared that Hastings High would be favored in both games.

That looked to be proven true in the Tigers' opening set against Norfolk, but then the momentum quickly crumbled in a 25-17, 14-25, 21-25 loss.

The Tigers bounced back over Lexington with a quick 25-9, 25-11 sweep. But the deflating loss to Norfolk left a bad stench on the Tigers' second-to-last home triangular of the season.
