Chase suspects sentenced
MINDEN — Two South Dakota men were sentenced to 10-30 years in prison for attempting to shoot a Nebraska State Patrol Officer during a car chase at speeds nearing 150 mph through Kearney County in January.
Petr Strizheus, 19, of Harrisburg S.D., and Aleksandr Voznyuk, 22, of Sioux Falls S.D., received their sentences Tuesday in Kearney County District Court.
The pair is also wanted for attempted homicide in connection with a Jan. 27 carjacking in Brighton, Colo., just northeast of Denver off Interstate 76, in which shots reportedly were fired at the owner of the vehicle.
