Getting students involved on campus in those first few weeks is vital to getting a student all the way to graduation.

That's the message the Central Community College-Hastings chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was trying to share during the annual Ram Roundup at the campus Thursday.

"We're trying to get kids to see what's out there so they can make the connection and graduate," said Matt Harms, second year student from Wilcox and a member of PTK.

The event features booths from student organizations and local businesses hoping to hire students for part-time jobs during the school year.
