Wallace students get surprise pep rally from AC band, cheerleaders

The quiet atmosphere at Wallace Elementary was suddenly interrupted as the Adams Central Patriots fight song echoed off the walls Friday morning.
The Adams Central High School cheerleaders and members of the band filed into the school's commons area in a sea of Patriot red, white and blue.
Curious kids began to emerge from the doors of classrooms, and quickly their expressions of shock melted into smiles. The young Patriots began to clap along to the familiar tune.
"We are trying to integrate the elementary students of the Adams Central District into the school spirit at the high school," said Wallace principal Allyson Bohlen. "This is the second year the high school has done this and I think it really sets a good example for the younger students."
