Upland woman seeks jury trial
FRANKLIN — The 35-year-old Upland woman facing nine counts in Franklin County relating to sexual assault of a child pleaded not guilty during her arraignment Thursday afternoon in Franklin County District Court.
The woman and her attorney requested a jury trial. A progression hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 8.
Franklin County Attorney Patrick Duncan filed the charges against the woman July 2. The charges include five counts of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, a Class 1D felony; two counts of exploitation of a minor for sex, a Class 2 felony; and two counts of child abuse, a Class 3A felony.
