RURAL PROSSER — Just south of the village of Prosser sits a small church and adjoining building that serves as a home of education for dozens of young students.
Over the years, the congregation has watched the student population grow and with dreams of further growth, the congregation knew they needed more space.
"We want to share the Gospel of Christ with more children," said congregation member Shane Burr. "We were running tight on space and needed more room to do that."
On Sunday, nearly 100 people gathered together outside the church with shovels in hand to turn over the first few piles of dirt to symbolize the start of an expansion project at the school.
