YMCA launches annual campaign
Hastings Family YMCA board members and volunteers kicked off the annual fundraising campaign Tuesday night at the Barrett Alumni Center on the Hastings College campus.
YMCA executive director Michael Krings said that while the fundraising goal for the campaign this year is $100,000, he told volunteers to not concern themselves with money. Instead, Krings told volunteers to focus on meeting face-to-face with three to five individuals.
“We want to have as many conversations with people as possible,” he said.
He said the key this year will be building relationships and getting to know as many members and people in the community as possible.
