Adams Central cruises to 10-2 win

Adams Central's Meredith LaMaster hits a foul ball in the fifth
inning of their Tuesday night game against Holdrege at Smith
Softball Complex.
The Adams Central softball has had quite the start to the 2013 season. The Patriots went into Tuesday's game against Holdrege with an 8-1 record, outscoring opponents 73-10.

Tuesday was no different.

Junior Josie Bumgardner threw all six innings and the Patriots' offense scored double digits for the fourth time in 10 games as AC cruised to a 10-2 victory over Holdrege.

"It was a great first win at home. We're off to a great start this season. We really push being aggressive, that's our main focus," said first-year Adams Central head coach Chelsey Jacobitz. "If we're aggressive, we can be the better team, and they really executed that today."
