St. Cecilia splits home triangular

St. Cecilia's Josie Prevette blocks against Lincoln Christian's
Hannah Tayler Thursday in Hastings.
Class C-2 No. 2 St. Cecilia defeated Class C-1 No. 2 Grand Island Central Catholic 21-25, 25-20, 25-19 after dropping a match to C-1 No. 7 Lincoln Christian 19-25, 23-25.

"This is a tough way to open every year, and this year it was especially tough because I think Lincoln Christian is a better team this year. And Central Catholic is a better team than last year," said St. Cecilia head coach Alan VanCura. "I was proud of our kids with the way we bounced back after we lost the opener. But we hung in there and found a way to win."
