BLUE HILL — After the Blue Hill school bus-semi collision tragedy Wednesday that resulted in the death of two bus drivers and two students, a 28-18 Bobcat victory over Doniphan-Trumbull on Friday completed an emotional week for the Blue Hill community.
"Hopefully tonight's win for the team and community can now set us toward the healing process," Bobcat head football coach Scott Porter said following the game.
Prior to the game, each of the Blue Hill players raised their helmets in unison and everyone paused for a moment of silence to honor the four lives lost just two days earlier.
The emotionally charged Bobcats controlled the entire tempo of the game though a steady running attack, which accounted for more than 300 yards on 46 carries.
