BLUE HILL — The Grand Island Central Catholic/Doniphan-Trumbull softball team went through emotional highs and lows in Tuesday's triangular with Adams Central and Blue Hill. The only thing that experienced more of a change was the weather.

The Crusaders beat the Bobcats 10-2 in the hot sun, but lightning and a nearby storm cut the game against the Patriots short.

Adams Central coach Chelsey Jacobitz and GICC/D-T coach Brock Culler agreed to resume the game, with the Patriots leading 12-5 in the bottom of the fifth, on a later date.
