Adams Central falls in home opener

Conditions were nearly perfect Thursday for the Adam Central tennis team's first-ever dual on its new home tennis courts.

The sun was out, temperatures were cool and a healthy number of fans came out to see the Patriots play on their new courts.

The only thing that didn't go Adams Central's way was the outcome against Grand Island Central Catholic. The Patriots fell to GICC 8-1.

Adams Central head coach Rod Hartman said his young team had its back against the wall all day.
