The Thayer Central football team came into the season with a lot of expectations. After going 4-5 last season and qualifying for the Class C-2 playoffs, the Titans returned seven starters on offense and nine on defense.
That experience is what head coach Josh Lanik believes has helped his team start this season 3-0, already one win away from matching last year’s total.
“Our team has played a lot of varsity football. The success last year was such a confidence boost for our kids and they believe they can win,” Lanik said. “Some teams hope they can win, but we believe we can win after last year’s success.”
