KENESAW — After scoring just 16 points in its season opener, the Giltner football team has found its groove.
After scoring 50 points against Hampton on Sept. 13, the Class D-2 No. 3 Hornets topped that total Friday against D-2 No. 8 Kenesaw, winning the game 72-48.
"It could only get better from that first game," said Giltner head coach Jeff Ashby. "We were much better tonight. The guys were firing off the line and our perimeter blocking is getting much better. We just have to keep plugging away week after week and improve. We don't care what the score is, we just want to improve."
