MILLIGAN — Grinding out 42 points in the first quarter and 366 yards of total offense, the Class D-1 No. 1 Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves blasted Johnson-Brock 76-14 on homecoming night Friday in Milligan.
Seven Timberwolves carried the ball, but the E-M defense played a spoiler role, forcing two
Johnson-Brock safeties and an interception that translated into a touchdown.
E-M head coach Dean Filipi said defense was a key factor.
"Our defense played well," Filipi said. "The younger players had some time to play which should help us down the line as our defense will get a good test the next few weeks."
