MILFORD — One week after opening the season with a big over the defending Class C-1 champion Aurora, the Adams Central football team made quick work of Milford on Friday.

The Patriots took a 35-7 lead by halftime and never looked back, coming away with a 42-14 victory.

Adams Central quarterback Evan Johnson threw for just 170 yards, but he tossed four touchdown passes, three of which went to Laif Spady. Spady hauled in four passes for 42 yards. Tyler Slechta also pulled in a TD pass, tallying five receptions for a score. 

Macrae Huyser carried the bulk of the rushing duties, running the ball 25 times for 159 yards and two scores. Johnson rushed for 42 yards. 

The Patriots allowed just seven points in each half. Gage Wright led the team with 10 total tackles. Adams Central finished the game with four sacks.
