Thousands of people have signed petitions asking to secede from this country. I say, give each signer a passport and 30 days to get out of the country. I’ll bet a few will back down from their demand and I hope they will re-assess the wonderful life they have in this country ... even under our fine president.

The Hastings Tribune welcomes letters about issues of the public interest. Here are some rules:

and phone number. (The address and phone
number will not be published.)
• Letters should be 250 words or less. Letters
will be edited for length. They will also be
edited for spelling, grammar, clarity and
content.
• Letters should express an opinion or explain
why something is important or in the public's
interest.
