Bowler support
On behalf of the Hastings Tiger Bowling Parents Boosters, I wanted to express my appreciation to the Hastings Tribune staff and photographers for their efforts in covering high school bowling in the Hastings area this year. These athletes and coaches, who volunteer their time, work so hard and are all deserving of their honors.
Because high school bowling is not recognized as a sport by the NSAA, many of our bowlers across the state are not supported by their schools or communities, even though they positively and successfully represent their school name. In Hastings, we are lucky to be able to boast a local newspaper that supports our teams.
Hastings High bowlers are also lucky enough to have an activities director and administrators who support the teams. Last week, our bowlers were honored with a pep rally that included other NSAA supported school teams. The athletes and parents very much appreciate all you and our schools have done this year.
