Veterans home

I think it is time for Gov. Dave Heineman to be let out to pasture.

If the veterans home can be renovated for $74 million, it should stay in Grand Island. It is plain stupid to spend $121 million to build a new one 40 miles away when this country is $17 trillion in debt.

Furthermore, the rent money the state has been collecting all these years from the veterans home should have gone for its upkeep.

I am wondering what Heineman is getting under the table that makes him so defensive.
