10-year terms

Regarding Star Parker’s article “Ted Cruz isn’t abnormal, but Washington is” (Hastings Tribune, Sept. 23), she is 100 percent correct.

It is refreshing to read her columns as well as Thomas Sowell. They are grounded in reality, “uncommon” sense and the Golden Rule.

Most of the politicians in Washington lose these attributes as their time in the Capitol increases.

I would like to see a limit of 10 years of service for politicians. After that, they should not be allowed to “serve” or become a lobbyist.

They should return to reality and live under the same rules the rest of America’s citizens live under.
