Alzheimer's walk

Over the past six weeks, 16 communities in the Great Plains Chapter held a Walk to End Alzheimer’s, including Hastings.

Many sponsors, volunteers and walkers made the event a success, especially Dale Schendt, who chaired the Hastings event in 2013 and worked all year long to make it successful.

This walk was one of more than 650 nationwide, all dedicated to raising funds and awareness about this devastating disease.

Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S., and the only one of the top 10 with no known cure, treatment or preventative available.

With the help of so many dedicated volunteers and walkers, we’re making a difference!
