Bad move on vets home

I am an 85-year-old veteran who planned to go to the Grand Island Veterans Home when I need to go to an assisted living center. I certainly do not want to go to Kearney.

The living center in Grand Island is a lovely place and since all the many employees live in Grand Island, I can’t understand why the governor’s moving the center to Kearney.

I say remodel, if necessary, but leave the center in Grand Island. That would save millions at a time when our national debt is already so high.

I thought our Republican governor wanted to save money and reduce our debt.
