Special dedication

On Saturday, the Hastings School Age Special Olympics program hosted the West Central Special Olympics Aquatics Swim Meet. Seventy-one athletes competed.

Karen Overfield, the Hastings Family YMCA, several community volunteers and Hastings College students provided the support needed to make this a successful and outstanding event.

The goal was to place first, second or third, which qualifies them for state competition in May in Omaha.

The West Central Management Team extends its appreciation to the many volunteers who dedicated their time and energies to host this meet. We commend you for a job well done.

We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Della Bader, head of delegation Hastings alumni
