Keystone question

There is a heavy push to get the Keystone XL Pipeline approved.

One should ask the question of its supporters: Why is this pipeline headed to a port?

Could it be that the oil or its derivatives are headed overseas?

Will someone please ask this question and help me oppose the pipeline if the answer is wrong.
